Rise and shine! It is another day:-)
It's the time of the year when the holiday parties seem to never end. There are so many occasions to celebrate! All that work can leave little time for enjoying what should be the most wonderful time of the year.
I had recently party and I would like to share tips with you how to organize successful party and without stress. Plan ahead, and you can serve up a banquet without breaking sweat.
I've created printable Party Guest List and Party Check List.

I can't wait to hear more...sounds like info that would be very helpful this time of year...
ReplyDeleteHalf of the success of any party is in the preparation. Suddenly running short of supplies, playing the wrong music or finding yourself stuffed into a corner because of the crowd, are all factors that can turn any party into a nightmare. So plan, plan, plan. And yes I am organizing freak:-) I don’t leave out anything for ”maybe” and /or “it will be OK” because I know it wont.
ReplyDeleteI watch alot of foodnetwork TV and one thing that Ina suggests when hosting parties is to not put all your food items in one central location but to spread out the food and snacks throughout a few places in order to spread the people out. So things dont seem to crowded. Also I hosted a surprise 40th B-day party for my bf and had great success by asking for help from a few friends to take some of the stress off. You would be surprised as to how willing people are to help if you just ask. Also I do agree with plan plan plan ahead cause if I can cook a Thanksgiving dinner for 25 people by myself it can be done by anybody.
ReplyDeleteWith H1N1 and flu season we should take some precautions. A hand going into a bowl is not a good thing. For party food, think single servings.
ReplyDeleteAvoid offering chips, candies, nuts or any food in big, open bowls that people could reach their potentially contaminated hands into. Instead, consider serving individual portions of hors d'oeuvres such as peanuts or cheese cubes on little pleated paper cups or small appetizer plates.
anything you can stick a toothpick in I say lol
ReplyDeleteKim, that is so true. Asking friends to aid us is great tip. For all adult party, I usually ask friends to make dish or two. We go over menu and they find something that suits them best. For kids party ...we MUST have help:D There’s not a person alive who can watch 25 seven year olds, serving hot dogs, slicing cake, scooping ice cream, and cleaning a scraped knee. You may think you can do it alone, but you can’t. In a best case scenario, depend on family members or other parents to help out. In a worst case scenario, hire a couple of skilled, teen aged baby sitters, to help watch the children.
